Ballymacelligott GAA Club
notes: 11th April 2004
Senior
Team
Ballymac
played host to Waterville in our second game
in Division 2 of the Credit Union County
League on Saturday night last. Our team,
minus vital players, played exceptionally
well throughout the game and were unlucky
to lose.The
first half saw Cathal DeLacy score a
great goal that gave a lift to players and
supporters alike. This was short lived as
our Goalie was dismissed and for the last
35 minutes our 14 men put in a powerful display.
The half time score was Ballymac 1-5 to Waterville’s
0-7. The second half saw our players play
very well and the work rate with 14 players
caught up in the last five minutes. With
five minutes to go Ballymac were leading
by a point. However Waterville rallied
and scored three points to win the game.
The final score was Ballymac 1-9 to Waterville
0-14.
