Coiste na nÓg AGM 2020 held on 10/1/2021

13th January 2021 By Ballymac GAA

Ballymac Coiste na nÓg AGM was a momentous occasion as it was our first Coiste na nÓg AGM held on ZOOM!
Who had heard of ZOOM this time last year?

The AGM of Ballymac Coiste na nÓg
The AGM of Ballymac Coiste na nÓg took place on Sunday last via Zoom. Declan O’Connell was in the chair and welcomed everyone to the AGM. Declan, opened the meeting with a minute’s silence for all our deceased members and for everyone who lost someone close to them during the past year.
Ger Collins read the secretaries report for 2020 and he outlined all the work done in the year. He thanked all the coaches for their work and determination to ensure our games were safe for all players during the year. He especially thanked Fionnán Fitzgerald and Mike Sweeney for their help in sorting coaching times and game times for the underage players when our training facilities were under extreme pressure.

It was particularly poignant when Ger listed all the underage activities, games, parades, medal presentations etc that did not take place during the year. Activities and get togethers’ that we have taken for granted, as a club for years. He said he was very grateful to everyone in Coiste na nÓg who worked so hard and tirelessly to get our games played.

In his chairman’s address Declan O’Connell thanked everyone for their help during the year. He thanked Ger Collins who kept all games and referees on time all year. He thanked all the referees, coaches, parents and players for their wonderful contribution to Coiste na nÓg especially in the very difficult year we had. He said it was a superb effort made by everyone.

Mike Sweeney, Chairman of Ballymac GAA Club thanked Coiste na nÓg especially Declan O’Connell, Ger Collins and Stephen O’Brien for their wonderful work in 2020. It was a year of challenges and he said it gave him great heart every time he met them at planning  meetings in 2020.  Their enthusiasm and willingness to face every challenge was great. He thanked everyone involved in Coiste na nÓg and wished them well in 2021.

The Secretaries Report from our Coiste na nÓg AGM that was held last Sunday is now available to download and read  by clicking on this  link.
