Final Day of Academy 2021

16th October 2021 By Ballymac GAA

Tomorrow (17th October 2021) is the last day of our Academy for 2021.
Remember when we started back in May? What a wonderful start to the year!

Every Sunday since then has been wonderful!

Every Sunday morning, our fantastic young Ballymac Players practice and have fun including target practice, soloing, passing, and kicking.

And no practice is complete without some of our favorite games of Tag, Stuck in the Mud, and Sharks and Fishes.

The children’s ball-handling skills are improving week on week and they love showing off all the skills they’ve been practicing at home. The squad has shown such brilliant team working, they have progressed to the first proper mini-game, a huge sign of progress!
It is also great to see how much improved the youngest players have gotten at listening and following instructions and now easily following three or four-phase drills.

The coaches are so proud of how far our youngest players have come.

And we can’t forget our more senior academy players who each week get more comfortable on the ball, as well as playing together in teams and taking part in Challenge games.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for another fun day in our Academy.
